Notes: Told them he's completely healed. Doing very well on the glove and acting like a happy normal baby. They asked if they would be able to come see him and get a picture. Told them unsure if we'd be able to do that. Will need to call them and tell them whether this is possible or if maybe we could compromise and get them a picture or something like that.

Neurologic: Ataxic
Head/mouth/beak: Puncture wound on top of head near right eye
Beak seems softer than it should be

A: Nestling - branching barred owl either fell from nest or was attacked by another raptor species and carried off a ways. Puncture wound through top of head goes through skull and may affect right eye. Unsure if they will regain vision in right eye if blood resolves. If right eye is indeed blind, bird will likely be non-releasable. Left shoulder laxity and some ataxia but could be due to age.

P: Rx meloxicam, baytril, fluids. Collect blood and fecal tomorrow, monitor temp. Change bandage on head daily. Monitor vision OD.
